The ECM is worth getting regardless of your exhaust. In fact, it is the only thing that I tell people they must get; it is just that damn good. It significantly improves low speed behavior, and makes the bike run the way it should if it didn't need to pass an EPA test to be street legal. Do it, you won't regret it, I can promise you that. |

I currently have a fmf exhaust, you must def. get the ecm, it runs so smooth. Before there were terrible lean spots with the pipe and they are all gone now. You wont be disapointed. |

The only answer to "Should I get the Erik Buell Racing ECU?" is "Yes." |

I have this set up, it's awesome, makes bike much smoother, and really brings the engine to life. I don't know the horsepower difference but it feels so much stronger everywhere. |

+1000 just got my Erik Buell Racing Ecm, makes it feel like a different bike on the low end, and a nice bump in power everywhere. |

Get the Erik Buell Racing ecm, add a K&N filter. You will not be disappointed. By far the best mod I have done. |

Ditto.....I've got the Erik Buell Racing ECM tuned for my FMF Apex, and also went with a K & N filter. Have never looked back.......literally! |

What does the ECM do to the fuel economy of the bike? What are you guys getting for MPG with this set up |

10-15% improvement over stock. I see high 40's on the street, high 20's on the track. |

Firebolt - which Apex (slip-on, full reg or Ti?). Curious how it compares against E B R's exhaust system. Also curious like Koreyk what your MPG are compared to stock. thx! |

Agree with the comments above, also a big plus for the conditions I ride in is that the bike runs cooler with the Erik Buell Racing ECM.. Its on a Drummer, not an FMF but as stated I dont think it matters what pipe or stock pipe, its worth the money. |

S133py - I've got the FMF titanium "slip-on" with the carbon fiber tip, I use with the stock header. In all honesty, I've never paid real close attention to fuel mileage. Coming off an XB9R which got incredible mileage (damn near 60mpg if riding easy) I figured the 1125 would be a bit more thirsty (and it is). A lot has to do with the type of riding. Like Froggy I've routinely seen high 40's, but if I'm whacking the throttle the mpg are reduced proportionally. The reduction in mileage compared to the XB9R is well worth the gain in performance and fun factor. By comparison the Firebolt now feels anemic. When I bought the 1125R, mpg didn't really factor into my decision, but overall I'm satisfied with what I get.
