So. What are you guys using for the street? I been doing some searching and seems like the EBC's are still the way to go. Anyone try the Ferodo Sintered pads? I never heard of them. I like the Lyndall's but they seem to be more for track. Any suggestions? | ||

i ran lyndalls on the street in my tubers & xb. (not on the cr yet) i love them for the street. once i got going fast on the track they showed their limits. NOT recommended for the track. i switched to ebc HH on the track and they were much better. sorry no info on the 1125 though... but i will be using the lyndalls when i need them (on the street) (Message edited by nuke-blue on February 16, 2011) | ||

ok i should elaborate a little more. in my experience the lyndalls when got real hot (racing) fade out. on the street they have a softer initial feel but will progress as you give more lever (which i like)and are nice and easy on the rotor. matter of fact they have always "cleaned up" the rotor of any tattooing and reduced pulse. the ebc have much more initial grab and will not fade when got hot even during hard track riding. but it gave my rotors the tattooing and caused some pulse BUT i have no experience with either on the 1125 yet lol | ||

I have Lyndalls on my ZTL2 XB and stock pads on my 1125's, I personally prefer the feel of the Lyndalls. Stock isn't bad, hence I haven't changed them yet, but when they wear out I'll swap. | ||

Hmmm. This is not helping!  I had the EBC's on my XB and didn't really notice a difference from stock. I like the price of the EBC's, but i may give the Lyndall's a try this time. | ||

Per Al Lighton, for the 1125R, use the Lyndalls only if you never plan on putting the bike on the track, otherwise go for the EBCs. American Sport Bike carries both. I have the EBCs right now and they may be just a bit TOO powerful for the hamfisted way I brake some times... | ||

i like the EBC's on my 03 XB. im sure i'll love them even more with a larger surface area on my 1125. first thing i noticed was the lack of pulsing. they keep the rotor smooth. once they bedded, initial bite and progressive feel all thru 10k ~ish mi up until the fork seal blew and dribbled fork fluid all over everything. then they started feeling like blocks of wood. get the EBC HH's and if you don't like them, i'll buy them from you for retail. seriously | ||

Ferodo will eat your disc, the EBC to a much lessor extent, I like the Galfer line, and plan to use them on the first change out for my C. As gentle as can be with a disc, and gives better braking and feedback than stock. I like their ceramic back cf compound - long lasting as well - made braking one finger control. Haven't tried their racing compounds - anyone else? EZ |
