I'm feeling like a kid on Christmas morning right now. Just got my income tax refund present from CompACC. My first pair of leather riding pants! A rain slicker and new riding jacket. New face shield for my helmet. And a new front tire. All good stuff.

Hee, hee. I noticed that the tire wasn't the one I thought I ordered. I had thought that I ordered a matching Dunlop to go with the rear I had to buy on the way out to Homecoming last summer. As my youthful delight began to sour I was convinced the retailer made the mistake and I was ready to do battle with them. First I checked the tire size to make sure it would fit, and it will. Then I went back to my email confirmation from when I ordered to prove that I ordered a Dunlop, not a Michellin.

Apparently my evil twin made the order!

Oh well, I'm still grooving about the new leathers and getting back on the bike soon. Does anyone think there may be a problem with a different brand tire front and rear? They are both Z rated. The rear is a Dunlop Sport touring model, the front is the Michellin Pilot Power 2CT.

I won't be dragging knee, even with the new leather pants. Well, maybe I might if I do a track day or two, but other than that. I imagine my front will have much more grip at the extreme than the rear, but that can be fun too. Hopefully they will both wear out at the same time this season and I can get the tires that I would have really chosen under better circumstances(money).

its not a huge deal. if matching tires are 100% optimal, missmatched tires are 95%.

If you arnt tracking it, dont worry.
