Are you folks always putting your 'noid back in prior to getting warranty work done? What about the muffler?

Talk to your dealer about it. Any modifications can cause difficulty getting warranty work done.

It depends, the first dealer i took mine to hadn't heard of the noid. I had the resistor in place of the noid, and the tech that installed the harness on my bike unplugged the resistor and left it sitting in the subframe. I went to pick up the bike, I turned it on and i'm greeted with a check engine light. wonderful, not even off the lot and the check engine light is on. So i go talk to the tech, I helped him take the seat off and showed him where the resistor went. I don't go to that dealer anymore.

Depends on the dealer. Mine was cool with my denoid resistor plug, even pointed it out to them. Now that I've installed the ECM from E B R, I removed the plug and connected the wires as they were OEM since the E B R box does away with the noid funtionality.

I do not hide the fact I have the EB R ecm from the guys at the dealer, good people, but like Tbowdre, don't want an accidental update being done to my EB R ecm and also want the latest update on the oem ecm as if I ever sell the bike it will be sold with all original parts fitted, just a courtesy to a new owner, I also remove the fairing lowers to save the techs the hassle when it goes in if needed, in for coolant leak from pump right now.

I do the same as Tbowdre and Stimbrell, remove the E B R unit just so it doesn't end up with the latest OEM flash on it, even accidentally. I like that version fine for a stocker flash, but I don't need two of them!
