Anybody run Jennings with the FMF? Did you get kicked out? (They have a "limited to 104db rule") Has anybody run that set-up or similar open pipe @ Jennings? Am I good to go? I would hate to drive 8 hours to a track day only to have to pack up and come home.

IIRC Vosnick52 got black flagged for his D&D system. The D&D's unscientifically sound louder than the FMF to my ear.

I'm hoping to do a trackday @ Jennings next month. I have run the 1125R w/ stock can there before, but now I have the FMF. I lost the "quiet core".

Please advise.

Jennings is my home track. The problem is that they are inconsistent with running the dB meter, some days they do and some they don't. When I ran there with the 1125 I used the OEM exhaust just to be safe. The others problem is that uncorked twins seem to sound louder than I4s and may get the dB meter out sooner.

Oh yeah, the other problem with dB checks at Jennings GP is that they do the measuring near the finish line on the short front straight, on the right side of the bike where the pipe is loudest. Sucks!

In three years I've never seen db testing at Jennings, and I've never heard of anyone getting flagged for being too loud. I do, however, usually go on Mondays when there's less of a crowd. I only got compliments on the Special OPS with the XB12R out there.

If you find out they're testing when you're there, I would just adjust my braking zone for turn one to before the start/finish line (if that's where the meter is). I was just there on Saturday for our annual track day with BMWNEF, and have say the MV Agusta was the most fun out of all the bikes I've ridden out there. The Brutale is definitely at home at a tight, technical track like Jennings.

Redbuelljunkie - I usually go on Mondays too, and now that you mention it, I've never seen them running the meter on a Monday. Maybe it's because the neighbors don't complain because they're working on Monday and that's why the dB meter is usually running on Saturday and Sunday.

Regarding your track day this weekend, was that a 2010 F4 you got to ride? How was it? Who is giving track demo rides of those?

My 2007 F4 1000R has been my track bike for the last couple years there, I wonder if we've been there the same weekend and not known each other. I don't remember seeing a XB-R at the track, for sure I would have said hi.

Only had the 1125R on there once, and it was about 4 seconds a lap slower than my F4 on the same Michelin Power Race tires. I realized how spoiled I was with the Marzocchi/Sachs high-end suspension and the 155+ rwhp. The F4 is now back on the street and I'm going to either turn the 1125R into a dedicated track machine with E_B_R upgrades or buy a Triumph 675 at auction and build it into a track bike.

Here's a video of my F4 at Jennings GP last year:

This was the first time riding my '06 Brutale 910S... it was outstanding!

I'm surprised we haven't run across each other- I put 688 miles on the '08 XB12R at Jennings in 2009...

Great vid of the F4, btw.

Awesome! I want a Brutale so bad I may have to sacrifice a few things for one.

That is really strange that we haven't bumped into each other, I definitely would have noticed that trailer. Being an MV owner, you likely would have seen me too.

Hopefully we'll catch up there soon now that the weather is nice. I'll probably be going back up on the 1125R in stock trim since my MV street bodywork is back on and its quite a pain to convert. I low-sided the F4 earlier this season and it was lucky crash as damage was not too bad. If I had crashed in 1, 2, 3, 12 or 13 it would have been too sad to bear, so I'm keeping the MV on the street where at least insurance would take care of it if the worst happened.

Here's my feeble attempt at humor in making my low-side video:

Sorry to threadjack Barker, I think the moral of the story is best to bring your OEM exhaust and quiet insert for the 1125R so your 8-hour drive has some chance of not being wasted. Hopefully we'll see you at the track soon.

Ok, the second strike looked like being pushed wide by an outside pass at 12, but strike one and three are a byproduct of one of my least favorite turns at Jennings. I have always had an issue with 8 because it's off- camber, and the divots/scrapes right off the line tell the tale.

The Brutale is the first bike that enabled me to "get" 8 consistently, and that's because I could accurately place the bike within a six inch strip at the apex of 8 lap after after lap.

I discovered that there's a flat section around the entire inside of 8 that allows me to completely avoid the off- camber outer section. I also learned that to get set up properly for 8, I have to get it right starting all the way back in 4. But when I hit all my marks starting at 4, and hold it together through 8, I'll be set up perfectly for everything through the exit of 11. It really is a thing of beauty to finally "get" the back section of Jennings, and I have my MV to thank for that!

This will be a private track day, honda hawk club, day after Thanksgiving. So they just might not test???

Anybody run a open pipe there?

If it's a Friday, I would guess that they won't test. It seems that they only test on the weekend because of the neighbors complaining when they want to sleep in.

My suggestion would be to bring your OEM pipe if you still have it, but if you don't, try posting the question on the Jennings GP forum and see what they say:
