Hi Guys,

I have a 08 1125r for the past 3 months now. I had to take it back for the ECM flashed.

Today, Sunday, sunny day in Houston , I decide to do the 600 miles oil change, and what do I see some tiny scratches on the side. The dealer is Mancuso Houston Texas. Not the first time, 2 years ago , on my xb9s, they were pulling hard on the handlebars, 30 thrusts, because my front wheel was not aligned... the struts actually were not well adjusted but they even did not check that, went right away to the beast solution. which is an unsafe procedure.

Please guys , advise what I should do. I just discover it today.

And as you might believe , when You go down, you remember it. so if it was me, I will remember!! simple as that

The scratches are tiny, on the radiator cover + on the side of the engine. tiny but here.

Waiting for your advise and help!

Any of You had trouble with Mancuso Houston?
Let me know,

Thanks a lot,

Max

When did you take it in? I can't make out how long you've had the bike back from the dealer before noticing the scratches. If it's more than a few hours you're probably screwed unless they are a very honest dealer..

Keep updating your situation. Mancuso is my closest dealer, and if they're shady I might have to make the journey to Goe Harley in Angleton.

I've got a great solution. Go to GOE!!!

Aaron, the service manager (I think thats what he does) is a good guy to work with (he rides and 1125R). They have good techs there and one of the guys (can't remember his name) used to actually work for Buell. They've always gotten my stuff done on time and been friendly.

F*ck Mancuso.

Thanks Court, I may try that stuff on the various scratches and scuffs I have all over my bike. I can't seem to EVER keep it scuff or scratch free. Nothing need, just surface stuff.

Anyways, thanks.

Agreed. Just polish them out.

Next time you leave your bike at this dealer, ask them to be careful. Check it closely BEFORE you leave.

Yeah ... the way these scratches are described they sound barely visible and enough time has passed that getting the dealer to fix it may be tough.

I'd take Novus 2, fix it in 10 minutes and be done with it.

My dealer accidentally scratched my air box cover when the tech took it for a spin. His "harley" jacket with metal zippers did it in. At first I was upset. Then I polished it with some good Maguires Car Wax and they were gone. Only cost me a little elbow grease.

I don't mind a scratch, as long as I am the one who dose it. But as small as those sound and the time since it happened its hard to expect them to do much unless they will do a "good will" fix for you as a repeat customer.

To Endoman33.
You are very right, but next time, I tell you I will inspect the bike really carefully, not only quickly.
Piss me off to have to double, triple check everything...
