Which one is really better? Which one looks best? I've seen several pics of the Jardine installed... anyone have pics of the Evotech?

I won't be using turn signals with it (getting an integrated tail light), so I want to buy the one that has the least extra metal hanging off of it/the cleanest look.

I also have the Jardine --- and love it --- but if the Evotech wasn't so damn expensive, I would've chosen it. Also, the ET actually requires a small, included adapter to fit US plates; it's designed for European (or maybe it's Asian) plates. On the plus side, the ET does come with a plate light, which is absent on the Jardine.

How big is a US plate? (I'm Canadiadian, eh?). I wonder if I'd need the adapter for my plate then too... hmmm.

Cops around here are pretty fussy about plate lights... which is why I'm sorta leaning to the Evotech. Plus I had some Evotech parts on my SV, and I liked their quality. But the jardine is cheaper... and money talks ; )

I needed the adapter (included) with the Evotech for my plate (PA). The Evotech has small tabs to mount your turn signals. I will try to get some pics up tonight.

+1 for make one... the only hard part was making the part that mounts to the undertail the correct shape!

I have the Evotech. I think its a bit better made then the Jardine. It has a little blue led for the plate and the adapter (which comes with the package) will probably work for any size plate.

Friend might be coming over tomorrow with a decent camera and ill take some pics.

Honestly... I don't either! but I thought about it alot before I started ( I don't have Access to a welder or anything), bought a $7 piece of aluminum at a hobby store, and used a jig-saw and drill! Pretty happy with what I came up with... I'll have to post a pic with it mounted.

Whippetlovr,

The Evotech will keep your ride street legal w/out any mods to the plastic under you tail light since it has a built in plate light dude.

Have you considered STD's version? It has all the lights you need and should cost you only about $70 bucks.

I went Jardine (and cut the light area myself) mostly due to price. I only considered the ones that let me keep my factory blinkers since I actually like them. Can't see either being a bad choice - Buy what turns you on.

I don't like that STD one with the little side blinkers, its too busy for me... and not even sure if it would fit a canadian plate. I'm definitely going integrated taillight, so I want whatever eliminator will look best with NO additional turn signals
