Did you guys remember that the last day for Buell employees was yesterday? What a bummer. I am loving my 1125R and will ride both it and my XB9SX today in honor of those unfortunate "elves" who were laid off and the Buell factory that shut its doors permanently yesterday. I'm sure Erik is gutted that he couldn't take them all with him to EBR. I hope they all land on their feet soon.

Jeff

I haven't even taken deliver of my CR yet, but I am depressed about what may be the end of Buell.

Like all of you, I remain hopeful that somehow Buell will back in Business again, sooner than later.

Just took my R in for 1000k service this week. Seems the rumor in the service department was that Erik was trying to buy back patents from HD. Yes, it's a rumor but it does sound positive... hopefully, we haven't seen the end of Buell bikes for the general public yet.

I have reason to believe they need to get more recognition before they launch a production model again.I was sold after I rode my R.But a daytona championship in all my import friends eyes isnt saying much. All the import guys I know just floor there bikes on cornfield roads.Whoo whooo. But thats what the average american wants a cheap rocket.A 40k rr doesnt fit that bill. They need to take on the big boys 1000cc and gp before they proceed to start a production type again.I think harley is also got something up there sleeve as well.I think the buell departure between erik hasnt even got dirty yet.Just my 2 cents.Harley knows they have to start appealing to the younger market or they will be gone very soon.

HD can try to appeal to me all they want but the only way my ass will be sitting on one is when they have 10k rebated at there going out of business sale.

Rumor?

I heard the Thunderbolts would have signed Elvis Presley to front for them at Homecoming but he wouldn't sign the contract. Something about Harley having the copyright on all shiny things... and Elvis wasn't going to go on stage without his sequined jump suit... so the whole Elvis thing fell apart and he's gone back into hiding.
