Hey guys, a couple days ago i got a ticket for 10mph over(even though i was clocked at 25 over:/) and am goin to get a radar detector...

I searched badweb and am gonna go with either a passport 8500 or 9500xi, any other ideas will be appreciated.

But my problem is that I have no idea how to connect it to the bike once i get it, and i know about the auxiliary port, but dont exactly know what to do with it, so any help will be appreciated.

THANX
Jake

you need to get the power outlet that connect to the auxilary connecter. its actual for the uly but works on the 1125R. theres lots of info on the aux connector and how to do it on this site.

I run an older passport that has batteries, I then run a wire from the earphone jack (you may have to pay extra to get it with your passport) to an amplifier then to my helmet. I put the detector in my tank bag and the amp goes in the tank bag pouch right in front of me. I've been doing this for at least 23 years. You can clearly hear it with earplugs in going 100mph.

Y0198.1AK SOCKET, CIGARETTE LIGHTER W/HARNESS Retail Price:$15.00

I took one off my wrecked Uly and stuffed it under the flyscreen on my CR. You can plug any standard 12v car accessory into it. I use it to charge my phone and XM Radio/GPS right now, soon to incorporate heated grips, race computer, and whatever else I tear off my Uly. : )
