Noticed my engine case breather hose is weeping oil where it connects to the air box base plate. I put a ty-wrap around the hose at the connection, I'll put some miles on her and see if that does it. Bike is an 09 1125R. Anyone else seeing this?

Check to see if the oil is over filled.

Spec, the oil just touches the bottom of the stick when it's cold. It's almost at the full mark with a hot oil check. Do you think I should adjust the level down? My old XB12 liked to run in the middle of the marks. Is the 1125 the same?

Sounds like your oil level is okay to me.

Put 300 mi on the bike since ty-wraping the case breather to the airbox base plate. There was a slight oil mist around the hose connection area but not near as bad as it was before the ty-wrap. The foam filter in the base plate was slightly misted as well but did not contain enough oil to produce a drop when it was squeezed. This may be related to the pressurized air box not letting the oil mist be drawn in.

One of the times I replaced my base plate I didn't get the breather snapped all the way up in it's socket. That's the only time my breather spewed.
