I have the d and d exhaust with no baffle.
I was thinking of putting two plugs in the end of the pipe wich can be adjusted via a
allthread rod welded to them which can be turned and tightened to either allow all air to go through or be tweaked to put backpressure on the system. If you put your hand on the end of the exhaust you can change the sound and even smooth out idling rpm. thus the idea of adjustble baffle plates. Has anyone heard of such a thing?

Used to do it with flat washers back in the sportster drag pipe days...

IMO;

Two words...Reflection Point.

Your hand just simulated the stocker's designed reflection point...albeit, a little crude.

That is why the idle smoothed out.

You might experiment with different methods and ride or dyno the difference by "capping" her up a little. You also might be surprised to see an improvement! ; )
