So I live in south louisiana. Anyone who's been here can tell you that the roads here are shit. Suspension tweaks can help a little..but I'm not going to sacrifice handling for comfort.

Enter the thought of a new seat.

Riding to work, or a quick blast to the HD/Buell dealer is no big deal.. a 100+ mile ride, like I just got finished with has left me with a big, big, big desire for something at least a little better than the wood plank the bike has on it now.

Recommendations?

I have this one and it improves the ride quite a bit.

Corbin makes a seat as well as Airhawk pads and such.

I had my 12r seat done by Spencer ( http://greatdaytoride.com/Home_Page.php ) and I can highly recommend him. I use that seat on my 25r. Customer Service has his picture in Webster's! Great bang for the $.

I advise against the Corbin (XB9R-XB12R) seat for the 1125R. I am in the midst of resolving a fitment issue right now. I will be surprised if it ever bolts up without major gaps although some others have had better luck.

+1 on the Buell Firebolt seat. Even thought I do not have one I expect it will fit from the factory.

I live in NY where the roads are crappy as well. I have the firebolt custom seat Doerman mentioned. It improves the ride considerably. It also makes it more comfortable toward the front of the seat closer to the airbox, which is not the case with the stock seat. The seat was a tight fit when I first installed it, but if you take off the back seat when you install it, it slips right on. It is also quite a bit cheaper than the Corbin seat.
