How is this for a problem? : )

At first I thought it was kind of cool bouncing off the cowl under hard shifts and WOT acceleration, but have lately found it to be more irritating than fun. Seriously, I know that proper body positioning, and conditioning, makes this less of a problem, but a pad of some kind would help me in staying located in the saddle when riding full out. Any suggestions?

Jack

CRAZY GLUE!

sorry I couldn't resist

Actually, since I don't have a bike yet, my question would be:

Is that seat cowl functional, or cosmetic?

I'd hate to be bouncing off of it, only to have it give way at a critical moment.

If it is structural, than maybe you could stick/rivet a pad to it.

I have mounted a tail bag that if I was to fill it up would work,

I would look for a used rear seat and take it apart and you could build some thing out of wood with a pad and bolt it to the seat pan,

you can see my tail bag at baggermike farkels.

I put the touring pillion on mine and it keeps me in place. Its a nice flat butt stop.

Darkice...

It that a Buell item or aftermarket? Looks like something I'll need to add to my goodies list.

thanx

Ok, my bad.... I looked through every item and completely missed it.

Any mods required to get it to fit on the 1125?

Oh boy! Add another thing to the list.

I'm up to about 23 to do/buy items, and I don't even have the darn bike yet!

I'm afraid to add it all up.

+1 on the touring pillion. I slide in to it regularly Makes for a much more comfortable stop than the pod cover. : )

Dave I also got one of those list of things to buy and only half done with the list and hope to be done in May,

I have made the list from most important to least important and working my way down.

Does the touring pillion have the Firebolt script across the rear of it like the custom pillion? Looks like it does from the picture. I hope Buell brings out these seats without any logos or with the 1125 logo.

Yes it has the firebolt script on it, but after hitting my tail bone on the pod cover a couple times, it doesn't seem to bother me too much anymore. : )

1125 is classified as a firebolt so no harm in the scripting. but I would like to see a ducati style pad.
