Common modifications to enhance sportbike performance are aftermarket airfilters, airbox mods, and bolt-on cans.

I have read that the 1125 airbox is quite large. Will it flow enough air so that a high flow filter will offer no advantage?

Also, I've read that the 1125 muffler flow is so efficient that there will be no gain with an aftermarket can.

Your comments, please.

(I realize that many owners will change the stock muffler to add sound and to reduce weight)

The airbox can only flow as much air as the filter will allow, so unless a high flow filter is fitted as standard there will be improvements to be made I'm sure.

Even if the aftermarket muffler solutions only make the same power as stock, you can be sure that they will weigh a lot less and sound a lot better : )

The 1125 is pretty light to begin with, but I think it will be possible to reduce this even further even for road use.

Less weight = more performance (even without any engine mods : )).

Thanks for the pic Trojan. I have a XBRR tail section sitting in my bay at work just waiting for my 1125R to show up.

Trojan- that tail section balances out the front end quite nicely. Not sure on the mass decentralization but me likey da looky. I think the chopsticks and pasta strainers will be running for cover.

Definitely, someone needs to produce an aftermarket tail with and without passenger pillon. Styled after the RR tail.

Would love the option of that tail for my XB9R, but the GSXR exhaust is a no-deal.

Someone, somewhere, will find a way to put a Hypercharger on one.
