Author Message   Uwmad Posted on Sunday, August 25, 2013 - 12:19 pm:        For sale is my 1996 Buell S1 Lightning. It has just over 14,000 miles on it. I think I am the 3rd owner. Bike runs perfect and I drive to work as often as I can on it (25 miles one way). Only looking to sell to somebody that will maintain and keep her running. I better not hear it was parted out!!! Looking to sell due to money issues and I don’t think I ride it as often as it should be! The bike is in excellent condition except for a small section around the vent tube on fuel tank where the paint bubbled and peeled off. Can take pics if needed. Bike has the PM wheels. Original Buell brakes! Rear tire hugger. Comes in a fairly rare Silver color! Engine has the higher output Thunderstorm heads like the S1W’s had. All updates from Buell have been applied. The owner before me had the engine done and did the following: Michelin tires (excellent condition still) brand new THUNDERSTORM heads from Harley Gel battery wiseco dome pistons vance and hines exhaust (SSR2) ceramic coated header new front rotor ( Buell original up grade ) force winder air-intake Things that I have added since I’ve had: Added a catch-can LED turn signals (still have originals) New aftermarket mirrors I have an extra Manta style tank that I can include if sale price is what I’m looking for. Also have a seat pad (stock seat needs it!) Also have most of the receipts for things as well as the maintenance books/manuals Have the original Air-intake Looking to sell for $3500 OBO.
