selling my X-1 and getting out.

Had a low speed (~30mph) lowside on Memorial day while pulling over to get a picture up around Brasstown Bald in north Georgia. Broke my left humerus in 2 places and the bike slid on it's left side across the pavement.

will need:
front/rear left turn signal and/or lenses
-tank cover
-beauty cover for under the tank (my carbon one gave it's life to protect the tank)

-bars. These are almost straight, but I recommend changing them out

-clutch lever

-shifter

-derby cover, grip.

The bike runs and is perfect except for the obvious lowside damage- hell, I rode it 132 miles home. I noticed that the front fender seems off center and it is- but with 1/2 pound of finger pressure it realigns. My guess is that when I parked it against something in my carport and it pressed on the fender.

The forks are straight. The back tire has about 600 miles on it. Race ECM - the idle is a little low in the videos b/c it is cold, but it idles at 1100-1200 once warm. The seat is perfect and the rear subframe has black marks on it from where it landed on my Combat Touring boot [for hockey fans, a sort of kick-save]. The lowside was so sudden that I did not have a chance to separate myself from the bike and effectively got bodyslammed because I was still attached to the bike and the long moment of bike/rider saw my shoulder at the end of the "whip" as we played crack-the-whip. Ouch.

the good: Race ecm and a rather loud S/T slip-on. Has the clutch-effort-reducer-ramp-plate thingy but it is still a "Man's clutch". Has an upgraded headlight bulb- but I actually don't like the greenish tint. I have the software and cable somewhere to access the ECM. Factory parts manual and factory service manual.

In a perfect world, someone with a trailer will give this thing a good home. I absolutely love this bike and I might just suspend it from cables in the back of my garage so that I can just ~look~ at it. I can't sell this bike to a newbie in good faith. This thing, in this state of tune, with all that torque on the bottom made me nickname it "The Tasmanian Devil". It's a fast, slobbering, untamed beast of a bike.

yes, the bike is dirty in the pics. I'm down to one arm and I am behind on chores like washing the car and pressure washing the driveway.

find me on facebook if you want. I will respond much faster there.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Allen.

Maybe you should hang on to it a while you recover and have time to think things over?
