so they did the s3t's in that color scheme for 01 and the same color scheme for the m2's in 02. i say that that the motor might be an 01 left over, but the paint scheme says it's 02. still say that 01 was all greay.

I live in Columbus, OH. I bought the bike brand new in Sept. of 2001 and the title says it is a 2001. Maybe this is an in between model year release.

I got an 01 in the same color combo also. The year code in the VIN is 1, an 02 should have 2

my body book says Volcano Gray was available in 2001 and 2002 on S3 or M2.

funny though, the frame color is listed just as Orange for 2001 and Blazing Orange for 2002, for both S3 and M2.

i bought my first low sept 28 2001 and it was a 2002 model. i was always under the assumption that the grey orange was just for the 02 model year. so maybe they did do a mid year. the one thing i don know is that when erik signed the tank the year after i bought the bike, he said that was his favorite color scheme to date and hopefully still is. i just know as soon as i saw it, i had to have it. and good luck on the sale and sorry to see it getting sold. (wish i had the money)

btw nf, my mom and brother live over in pickerington about 2 miles away from the ama.
