Buell S1 Lightning - Pasadena - $6,000
This is a very unique, very modified, very custom 1997 Buell S1 Lightning. It has 15,XXX original miles. They only made this model from 1996-1998. This bike is extremely rare and is fully loaded with all kinds of mods. The motor has higher compression and aftermarket cams, it puts out over 100 HP! This thing will whoop ass on any 600 sportbike out of a stop. It also has a kit box to raise the RPM's by 1,000. There is also a box of spare and stock parts that I am willing to give you, in this box includes (among other things) a spare set of plastics, a spare gas tank, the stock swingarm, the stock air cleaner, stock levers, etc.

As an interesting side note I recently bought a 2004 xb12s which was described as "One of the fastest XB's" the owner had ever ridden. After riding the two bikes back to back I am impressed with the power of this '97. It puts out as much torque and actually has a little more top end than the '04. It handles just as good as the '04. I've taken both through their paces up Angeles Crest. Take into consideration that this bike is carburated with a tubular frame, it shows just how modified this thing is to be able to keep up with a newer bike.

Some of the modified parts include:
¥ Marchesini rims that I had powder coated black (these things are SUPER light, roughly $2,000+ new)
¥ Carbon fiber bodywork all around
¥ Titanium bolts all around
¥ Aluminum swingarm
¥ Aluminum triple clamps that are adjustable with inserts
¥ LED rear light bulb (no more broken light bulbs from vibration)
¥ Custom 1-off exhaust (not too loud, but set off car alarms when you ride by)
¥ Adjustable rear shock, adjustable front forks
¥ Custom oil cooler that has been fitted under the seat
¥ Storz shifter, pegs and steering stabilizer
¥ CRG levers
¥ Renthal bars
¥ Belt drive has been converted to gold D.I.D. chain
¥ Aftermarket K&N air cleaner with carbon fiber cover

This thing gets a lot of looks and is a very beautiful bike. It's always been garaged and cleaned on a regular basis. I also had some of the side covers on the engine powder coated black. This bike will wheelie on a whim, its is truly an awesome lane splitting, canyon tearing bike. I am asking $6,000. The bike's aftermarket parts are worth over well over $10K. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff that has been done to this bike, come and take a look, make me an offer! I have a clean title in hand, this thing is ready to go! I am not offended by counter offers! email of call 760-617-7436
