I have a set of race plastics that came on my XB12R that I recently purchased. I'm looking to either sell them to buy original plastics or trade them.

They have been painted the blue color that you see in the pics. Fairly professional job, but has some orange peel on the fairing and a few scratches/ scrapes on the front fender. Also where they've been mounted the mounting bolts have worn through the paint and you can see the original red color. My camera doesn't show the imperfections that well.

I am looking for any color stock plastics. I want to keep this as a set, and Im not really looking for pieces at this time.

are you wanting a full fairing for the front or just the stock one?
Is the fairing plastic or fiberglass? Whose brand?

I want all factory stock pieces.

here is a website that carries this particular bodywork:
http://www.yoyodyneti.com/Category.aspx?CategoryID=2702

The fairing and the bottom piece that goes around the muffler are carbon fiber and are listed at $550 and $360. Then if you add the cost of the paint (was told it cost $500) you are looking at somewhere around $1400.

That is sharkskinz bodywork, not sebimoto.

The sebimoto fairings have the longer upper and smaller belly pan.

We have used both on our race bike, and I have the sharkskinz full fairing on my street bike.

I would check very carefully what the fairing is made of. I haven't seen a C-F sharkskinz fairing.

Thanks Diablobrian for the input. I just bought the bike from a car dealer that knew absolutely nothing about its past. From the inside of the fairing/sides you can see that it is made of a "weaved" material just like carbon fiber is so I guess I assumed it was. The last picture is of the inside but not very clear so i will try to get a better pic tommorow. The sticker on the bottom is "Shark helmets" which I don't know if its the same company or not, maybe you do?

After visiting sharkskinz.com it is in fact fiberglass. From sharkskinz' "about us" section:
"Combining special epoxy resins, primers and WOVEN CLOTH SHARKSKINZ thoroughly out performs the competition. Every piece of SHARKSKINZ bodywork is backed by our "No Spider Web Cracking" guarantee."

Here is a pic of the woven cloth:

Thanks again Diablobrian for the info.

PM sent!

Diablobrian- you mentioned having a set like this on your streetbike... Does the bike run hotter with the full fairing setup?

I have had no problems with overheating on my bike. Neither has my brother on his street xb9r.
I have wrapped my pipes and put a heat shield under the rider seat, but I have never had a
problem with the bike overheating. I still run the stock oil cooler and left air intake, but
I have blocked the air passage through the frame and converted to open air box and removed the trim
around the fuel fill. I figure if my bike doesn't overheat, running high compression (11.43:1)and a
full set of fairings then all of the other xb models should be ok.
