So I'm having the same problem a lot of 5000+ mile blast owners have with the first gear and neutral, but that's not the biggest of my problems. At speed, even it like third and fourth gear, there is a very loud chattering that drones out even the exhaust sound and leads me to concert there are loose parts in the case that are bouncing around. Any advice or suggestions how to fix this other the original spacer that should have been removed at 1000 miles?

Well, the primary chain is the first thing to check. An adjustment can give you an indication of the condition of the shoe. Start there and let us know what you find out.

well now the bike wont even start and its too much of a headache for me to deal with so off to the harley dealership. guessing its clutch and primary because the engine turns over but wont start. in neutral it just clicks but in gear it kicks so im guessing the clutch is engaged.

Good Luck. Before you have any work done maybe check back with their diagnosis to us, we might have a good idea if they know whats wrong or are just guessing.

If they tell you the carb needs a good cleaning, they DO NOT KNOW whats wrong and are just guessing (unless you left it in a mud pit all winter).

FWIW:Its not unusual for them to put the least experienced mechanic on a Blast because a) its a 'simple' little bike (lol). b) no one else wants to work on it.
Not trying to be a downer, just trying to give you a heads up. Unfortunately there arent too many better options than the dealer for the Blast : (

You over tightened your primary. They will hand it back looser, charge you for several hours, and it will still be too tight. If you had actually checked the KV for adjusting the primary by sound - you might have got lucky but I'm betting you already chewed up the shoe, and need a new one. - sigh

EZ is there a way to check the shoe through feel of the adjustment screw or otherwise, besides removing the cover?

Basically though, if you're out of adjustment, you need a new shoe.
