From what I have gathered the Blast runs a 40 mm vaccum operated carb right? I have been looking at the Blast and my 4-wheeler (500cc Polaris Predator) the Predator came with a 39mm Mikuni vaccum operated carb, I did a few simple mods to it and really snapped up the throttle response. After that with the urge to go faster I ended up putting on a 39mm Kein pumper which was even better throttle response. What I'm wondering, since the Keihn and the Mikuni are pretty easy to find and cheap, would either one be worth rigging to the Blast? The biggest problem I can see with the Keihn at the moment is the choke being a lever mounted on the side of the carb. Any input?

You can get good results by adjusting the low speed air screw.
Keep the stock carb, but install an accelerator pump from any HD twin. You can usually find a complete card for ~$40.

You'll lose the stock TPS and 'choke' (enrichener). You can probably do without both (try disconnecting the TPS and see how it runs before you change carbs).
Its worth a try, but reports are on a stock bike gains are minimal at best.
I think throwing on the accelerator carb would be easier though, 'bolts right on'.
