Here's a question I'm sure some of you guys will know the answer to, so I'm picking your brains. I replaced the battery in my 1125, and it is peppy now. I had the old one checked, and it was iffy, so I replaced it. Now when I try to start the bike, everything comes up, but the starter relay just clicks. All the contacts and everything are clean, the headlights work and the fuel pump kicks on, but no cranking. I ran diagnostics on it, gave a U0001 reading, so that's no help. Do I need to test the starter relay and work from there? BTW, it's an 1125cr I bought in August. Wonderful bike. |

Try swapping the relays around to rule out the starter relay. It may be an issue with the starter itself, I had the same symptoms on my 1190SX and in that case replacing the starter motor fixed it. I've not heard of a starter failure on an 1125 though. |
