>>>PIII audio workstation with powered monitors,

What kind of monitors? I'm running Bose now in the Buell basement and have been looking at a new board and a set of Alesis Studio with mental forays to a complete JBL stage set-up.

Talk to me....

I think I have a stack of fibre channel drives and HBAs from our now-junked $2mil DELL SAN setup...

Just an inexpensive set of M-Audios. The Alesis stuff is great, but a little out of my price range right now, like 2x the M-Audios. It's just as well, my neighbors prefer I use the headphones at 3 AM ; ) Hardware's not my forte (hey, I'm just the sax player) but since two of the guys in the band work day jobs as audio engineers, let me know what you need advice with, and I'll ask. BTW don't ever go to a club show with an audio engineer when he can see the guy running the board. Running commentary. "You know, those faders aren't glued down, pal. That lap-steel solo sure _looked_ great. Been nicer if I _heard_ it." : )

Ugh - isn't the Dell stuff just re-branded low end EMC stuff? They tried to pitch us when we bought the current IBM setup a couple of years ago - every time we asked about a feature it was "on it's way" or "available soon"

You mean like "reliability"?

I have no idea why we're still on Dell. I keep whispering "IBM" but...

Mariabelen's machine is the power hog. 19" monitor, dualproc PIII600, 1GB ram, 3 drive like above with a PERC2 RAID (striped for speed).

Court, I was wondering if maybe you could hook me up with someone that is capable of repairing my fuel tank.
Bad gas
Ive tried for a year in vain and had Airtech make me a copy that won't work. Any help that you can provide I would be most grateful.

Court!
How the hell are ya? It's been a while. I hope all is well. We had a great American Sport Bike Night on Monday March 1st, Denis Manning "Bub" brought his new streamliner to American Sport Bike Night and we had a great "Show and Tell". He's promoting the International Motorcycle Speed Trials at Bonneville from September 6th through the 10th. This is before the USFRA event. There's a bunch of money up for grabs at this one too. http://www.SpeedTrialsbyBubcom
I plan on helping out, and going to that great little Mexican restaurant (if it's still there) in Wendover. Wanna come and play?

What's the story with Team Elves this year. I have heard nothing about a 2004 event, a trip to Bonneville, the 130 MPH Club, or the 150 MPH Club. How about an update?

So, I had dinner with Pierre Terblanche a couple of months ago when he was here to tour Ducati North American in Cupertino. It was great! Jeff Van Epps, and Pierre had dinner with about 17 MH900e owners. It reminded me of those great times with Erik Buell at the restaurants during Laguna Seca events. Oh yeah, Laguna Seca in July, are you coming out?

I placed my order for a Paul Smart 1000 last week. Since I have the Hailwood, I just had to have the Paul Smart. I ordered the Limited Limited one, which is numbered and has a different colored frame and Ohlin's suspension. I hear that there's only 500 of these available and not many coming to the U.S. Lots more of the one with the blue frame and Showa suspension.

Well, I'll be in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec in July, and if I get a chance to head south to New York, I'll be sure to stop in. Take care, say hello to everyone for me and I'll wait anxiously by the phone for your call.

Love you man,

Woz...

Sorry, no word from or Court sighting - but then I've been demolitioning, plumbing, wiring etc. etc. for a couple of weeks.

I'll see if I can track him down. I need to talk to him about an E-Z Pass bill anyway. Seems he wasn't kidding when he said he'd try to max out my credit card ... ; )

No wine n brag event may have to be cancelled unless we send in our applications....

fyi...I was talking with Mary from BRAG on Friday and only two apps have come in for this event....and I know that Vallejo Buell and others have put in a lot of effort so far...

It would be a shame if it was cancelled since California and the west coast has so many Buell and motorcycle enthusiasts here...

We need to get the word out and call or send in your apps to Mary, BRAG...Thanks, REX

Hi, I am hoping Court can help me here. I am in need of a rear rack that goes behind the seat of my 01' S3T. I want to be able to put more on the bike when I go on long rides with the wife aboard and need more space. Any suggestions?

I think MikeJ has it nailed...and that certainly looks better than the homemade get-up I used to use.

Plus....it looks like that would be nearly impossible to drag behind the bike for 7 miles.

Ya gotta love technology. I'd check out the Ventura system.

Ventura racks rock.

Vik (eeeek) even has one on his 954 and it works (and looks) amazingly good. the stuff is well engineered and works. I have two of the 45 liter bags on my S3 and I can carry a HOUSE on the back and it still looks clean.

And I get to deal with Amy at Ventura once every couple weeks. One of the very cool things about the new gig is that I get to work with very cool folks like her.

There's 2? Or just 2 on the RR one for each carb? Same as the 1 for the RS/S?

There should be 2 on your RS. One comes on with the ignition and the other comes on with the reserve switch. The outlets are plumbed together but the inlets sit at different heights inside the tank.

The company that makes those solenoids. Predyne, is still in business and can provide replacements. The Predyne number on mine is B2017-BB6VBI. The B2017 means B series 2-way normally closed with 1/8" npt ports. The BB means brass body, the V means Viton seal, the BI mean bottom inlet, not sure what the 6 is for, perhaps wattage.

They can also do larger valves, I got the race bike's solenoids from them. There was a minimum rder and I had to pay in advnce and then it took 3 or 4 weeks. They wouldn't do the viton seals (for compatibility with gasoline) on a small order but I've had no issues.

American Sport Bike Night is Monday, April 5th. We'll be talking about the No Wine'n Tour the following First Monday of the Month, May 3rd. There is a BRAG dinner at 6:30 PM on May 3rd, which will make it hard to be at American Sport Bike Night by 7 PM. Court? Can you make American Sport Bike Night in May? It'll be in Vallejo after the Infineon Raceway (formerly Sears Point) races that weekend. Details are on the http://www.Buell.com site, click on BRAG.

I hope all is well.

Yes, at least I think so. Let me finish this project. I'm still in the getting home and leaving 4 hours later mode for the next two weeks.
