Court, you seem to have a pretty good grasp of the business side of motorcycling so I would appreciate it if you could take the time to expound a little on the following topic. As I am sure you are aware, the KTM/Polaris merger didn't happen. It would seem to me that the potential of that merger could have done huge things for both companies. Do you think that the motor company sensed that it dodged a bullet and could possibly think making buell harley's "ktm" of the future? I am in no way putting BMC down, as I would only like to think that Harley would see it wise to greatly expand Buell's lineup. Or was Buell's dirt bike program made to compete with this merger, and killed along with the merger? Any consideration of this topic is greatly appreciated. | ||

Based on the roll out of the 1125R, it may have been a good thing that the Buell dirtbike program got shelved for a bit (as much as it pains me to say it). Doing too much too fast is a great way to kill an otherwise perfectly promising company. The 1125R is a great bike that deserves all the resources it can get to make sure it reaches full potential. KTM is a very cool company doing very cool things, just like Buell is. They are a more then worthy competitor, and would make a more then great partner. Either way, motorcyclists win!  | ||
