For those of you not following OTT on twitter.... Tweeting updates from the test.

@OnTheThrottleTV: Taylor Knapp is testing the Buell Superbike here. He won't race it for the next two rounds. Goal is to race it again here at NJMP

@OnTheThrottleTV: All superbikers lapping in the 1:23's... Including the Buell! Knapp and Eslick both turning 1:23.4 on the same bike

@OnTheThrottleTV Taylor knapp on the #buell has been hanging onto May like Eslick did to Yates earlier

@OnTheThrottleTV: I signed of prematurely. The Buell superbike, with Taylor Knapp at the helm, turned a 1:22.4

I just got back from todays practice. That 1125rr is LOUD, had to be THE loudest. Sounded like the bike was sputering after lunch but after a couple sessions was ripping. I was surprised to see no gieco truck there. Everybody else was, what gives? Well watching the guys tear it up was very cool and I cant wait till the race. I saw slick chasing Yates around the track on Knapps RR. He had a nice wheelie down the strait behind the consession booth and another after the next turn. Its funny how everybody is complaining about the RR when the guy riding it has a F-450 with a fifth wheel trailer parked between two level tractor trailers.

i think the RR is going to have some great results next season. This way at least they know what it can do against the other brands and it can only get better

Practice was a great time on Wednesday. I was amazed at how "open" the forum was. We were able to walk around the pits/garages with reckless freedom. I probably could have snuck into one of the travel trailers and taken a nap!

Eslick riding in person is even more insane than on tv. That man is nuts! I love it. He was consistently carrying the front wheel down the short straight after the chicane.

Knapp looked ok on the RR. Through the "carousel" he was shifting while leaned full right. No one else was shifting there.

Aside: the new R1 sounds crazy with that new firing order. I mistook it for the Buell from far away a few times.

I had such a good time that I bought tickets for the Sunday race session in September.

Interesting photo from Super-(we-hate-Buells)-Bike-Planet:

That is Knapp out front, right?

Hey avc were you there all day? I got there at lunch. You might have seen my 9R parked by the paddock. I loved being the only buell there and at the same time wished there were a few more. well maybe in September.

Anyone else notice that at Mid Ohio the 1125RR had the standard full pods that directed the air in from the front and out under the seat, but at NJMP someone switched the pods to the, as Shawn Higbee calls them, the Canadian "inside out air flow" pods?

Shawn said they cool the engine better.

I got there around noon. I didn't take the 1125 as it is over 2 hours from my house and the weather forecast had me a little concerned. I didn't want to get caught in the rain on the way home (it has taken me over 3 hours from there in the past with traffic).

I did see your 'bolt there.

Toona, are you talking about these? They're from Flexiglass in BC. I use their straight panels and plan to switch to these next winter. Saw something like them on the Latus bikes. Their crew chief said they cool the bike a lot better.
