it always seems that as you move further down the list, the best lap gets to a lower number, does that mean that crevier isn't getting as many laps in as gobert, or is just that his best lap came earlier in his session, maybe a little of both...I've never seen practice sessions so I don't know much about them...

Ceejay,

As you guessed, it can be that one rider is getting fewer laps than another or that one set his best lap earlier in the session. In this case it seemed to be Crevier getting a late start to his session and also stopping longer (presumably to make adjustments to the bike).

If you go to amasuperbike.com and click on "Get @theWire LIVE! lap times" during a practice session or race, you'll see exactly what's going on with everybody. It's pretty cool. (That's how I saw that Crevier got a late start, for example.)

Dang, Hale and Steve are 5 seconds off the pace...I guess they were going so fast it scared them.

Qualifying 18th and 19th on the FX grid and 4+ seconds off the pace ain't exactly something to crow about for the Buell faithful. Come to Barber Motorsports this 11 - 13 to watch Buells in CCS/ASRA competitive racing at its finest...where you will have something to crow about (and not have to eat any).

Jimidan, what's your fastest lap at Mid-Ohio?

You spend a LOT of time criticizing and putting down the efforts of others.

If you have so much to add to the world of racing you should be out there showing them how to do it.

The funny part? The guys here on Badweb would be behind you 100% just like we are for the rest of the racers...Even Anthony;)

Diablobrian sez:

"Jimidan, what's your fastest lap at Mid-Ohio?"

I have never had the pleasure to run at Mid-Ohio, but I plan to next year at a track day. My buddy that I ride with, Norbert, just ran a track day at Mid-Ohio last week and was the fastest guy in the advanced session on his Ducati (he also owns an S2). We have run at Putnam Roadcourse and he couldn't keep up with me on his Ducati and me on my Buell 88", but I don't know if that means anything about Mid-Ohio.

What is your fastest time at Mid-Ohio?

Diablo cont: "If you have so much to add to the world of racing you should be out there showing them how to do it."

Dude, I am almost 56 years old, so I don't think I can teach Hale and Crevier much about road racing, but I doubt that anyone on here could. Can you? Are you saying that for someone to discuss road racing on this board that they have to be a national class road racer first? Shucks, if that were the case, we all might as well hang up our keyboards. What a preposterous concept!

But I like your unwavering spirit...I would be honored for you to come to my next track day and cheer for me!

Jimidan - Say hi to Norbert for me. I rode with him last year at Suches and then again at the Appalachian adventure. Great guy and a great rider.

It's a funny thing, I can no longer hang off of my bike, and therefore cannot turn a competitive time on a track.

I've also been having a bad month or so (as evidenced by the frequency of my posting) please forgive my brusque attitude.

I've just been getting tired of the negativity I've been seeing on the board.

This is supposed to be a place for Buell enthusiasts, or at least I thought it was, until the last couple of months.

I really need to get out and ride.
My bike and mind are ready and willing.
My body is not able.
