Ah so it looks like a giant touring 1125R, that must be why I thought it looked great when I saw pics the other day.

It certainly is more appealing than a Goldwing and the Harley touring bikes.

Froggy,
You need to ride a new Harley Ultraglide and then tell me what you think. I have not ridden this new Yamaha but hopefully it doesn't take an hour of undoing nuts and bolts just to get at the back tire like the Yamaha Venture Royale that I once owned. Harley big rigs are really nice. Go and test ride one.

Yea I'm overdue to give Harley another demo ride, the truck usually comes by my dealer in July. I was really unimpressed with them last time (2008 I think), but they have had substantial improvements since then.

I did a demo ride on an Ultra Limited Low 2 weeks ago at Chandler HD. Very different motorcycle from the demo ride I did 2 years prior. Vibration at idle has been drastically reduced. It's very much a smooth, plush ride. A much improved machine from a couple of years ago.

All in all it was a good day. I got to eat their food, ride their motorcycle and walked out with out spending a penny. Only down side was a young kid on the same demo ride as I was on dropped a new Sportster in a low speed turn. Except for a little road rash and a bruised ego he wasn't hurt. The new roadster, ehhhh not so much.

My father tried giving me his 2010 ultra limited for my roadking. I'm 6'2" 250lbs and that bike was not enjoyable . It was way too heavy and the steering liked to flop from side to side at slow speeds. If you bobble it, you are going down and you will need help getting that 1000lbs behemoth up. On the open road it was nice but nothing exceptional to right home about. Just my opinion but I thought I should share. The adrenalin wears off after a few weeks and this was my experience.
