I'm in the market for new Uly tires on a budget. I noticed that Bridgestone is offering a $40 rebate (prepaid Visa card) thru the end of March on certain tires. I could get a set of the Battlax Sport Touring T30 (w/ rebate) shipped to my door from JakeWilson for $188.98!

Anyone have any experience with these tires? I've always been a Michelin guy but for under $200, these might be worth a shot! Thanks in advance!

Interesting...
There is a GT version for bikes over 500 lbs, I wonder how the tread life would be on such a tire...

I have the BT23's mounted currently which is the predecessor to the T30. The tires are a bit stiff compared to other tires I have had mounted (none of which were Michelins, so I can't give you a direct comparison to your favorite tire brand). However, they handle beautifully (I've done track days on them) and seem to be wearing much better than any other tire I've tried.

I've got about 4000 miles on these right now, and they still look really good. I hesitate to estimate their life though as some tires will look good for a long time and then all of a sudden go to pot over the last 500 miles of their lives. That said, I'd guess that the rear will last 7500+ miles. (For reference, the most I've gotten out of my previous tires was about 4500 miles.)

As the standard tire is pretty stiff already, I don't think I would go for the GT version on the Uly. Just my opinion. They are a steal at that price.

Sounds good, I might get a set of the T30s.

The last Bridgestone tires (2 sets) I ran on the Uly lasted about 5k miles.

The front were BT014.
The rear was what ever came stock on the Honda CBR600 2004~06 model.
(got good deal at work for 2 rears for $100.)

Thanks for the feedback! I think I'm going to give the T30s a shot as well at that price...especially if I can get close to 7k miles.

I really wanted to try something different like the Distanzias or the TKC80s but I don't have a lot of trail options where I live & I can't be replacing tires every 3k.
