EBR ECM...buy it. So I haven't posted in the general forums for several years, except the classifieds, but I just installed the EBR ecm for my 09 XB12XT with stock exhaust, and it's night and day difference. Minimal low speed hesitation or vibration. I've been stuck in traffic before and almost beat to death in first gear. My ride on this new ECM was smooth power and I could actually ride down my street at 30 mph in 2nd gear with minimal vibs. As a back story, I've been looking at this ECM for a couple of years. I've had the money, but just never spent it. I've just pushed it off. Last year I had a ride down to central Mexico, and still didn't pull the trigger.  Getting Ready to go  Monterrey, Mexico  Uhhh, ohhh, wheel bearing.  The tow truck...~$200 for 5 hour tow...not too bad.  I had to cut the axle to get it out  In the mean time, I enjoyed my friend's cousins ninja 250. I manhandled it offroad.  And I rode some horses. They were pretty surprised I had ridden before.  My good friend Jose, getting ready to head back to the states after a week in Mexico.  And I'm ready to go. Thanks to American Sport Bike for getting a wheel, pulley, rotor all assembled down to Mexico in 5 days.  Back home in the shop. Jose and I are about to head out from SE Texas to land between the lakes in Kentucky for the LBL 200. For the week before, we're riding to the tail of the dragon and around the blue ridge parkway. We're spending ~5 days riding street bikes and then riding dual sport dirt bikes. It should be a good time. Anyways, I'm very impressed with the 20 mile test ride I did tonight on the EBR ecm. If you're on the edge of getting it, get it. I just wish I got it a couple of years ago when it came on the market. If you're around SE Texas or riding the LBL 200, give me a shout.
