I cannot see it in the parts catalog. I use Permatex High Temp thread sealant. (rated for oil) DO NOT OVER TORQUE THE CABLE FERRULE IT WILL BREAK! Screw it in until it bottoms and give about 1/32 of a turn to finish. I think they changed them for a new version of the cable and they are fine.   Electraglider_1997 Posted on Saturday, May 18, 2013 - 08:11 pm:        I remember reading here on BadWeb not to over torque that baby so I made sure I followed that sage advice when I replaced my cable last year. I just reused the o-ring from the broken cable. No problems. The cable to ferrule crimp does weep on most bikes. Cleaning that area with brake cleaner. Then adding a drop or 2 of super glue will slow or fix that weep.
