Just read the post about making both hi & low beams come on at same time - Nice easy mod. to improve lighting. - I am ready to buy some additional LED lights for my "08 Uly" Prices are steep. Clearwater, Denali, Hella, etc. Any suggestions or experience with others that might be a better bang for the buck ?

Couple buddies of mine use the Tesla LED aux lights. They are amazingly bright in a flood pattern. Planning to put a set on my bike soon.

Most of the suff is made in China. If and when I choose to buy Chinese then I usually go directly to the source via Alibaba (Amazon.com of China). Cut out several layers of middle-man and save half the cash:

The Tesla and Sanjoh stuff is all found directly as well. My orders have come in quickly and with good customer service.

Depends on the type of riding you do. A slimline type HID in the Lo beam works great and is a "no brainer". If you use Hi beam a lot do that one as well. If not just a good Halogen will do. In either case they are dirt cheap and easy to fit needing no re wiring. I fitted a whole HID set to my bike for about the same price as ONE PIAA lamp. Replacement HID lamps are cheap and you can refit Halogens again if you get caught out.

Use the top type of HID lamps.

Aux lights are another matter. The H1 (HID is best over Halogen types) projector type (with lens) are best for normal lights. Cheap metal ones do not last well so unless you want to pay more plastic is just as good.

LED types are a bit of a minefield unless you know/seen the type. I have looked into these a lot and its not easy to see whats good. Not low cost types anyway.

I would try a HID in the low beam first because I KNOW you will keep it so not lose money on the deal.

Rigid has a complete line of LED both in white and yellow that can make a nice addition to the Uly.

The picture shows two HID bulbs.
It's not just plug'n play, you need a ballast to run them.

American Sportbike has an HID kit, there part no. is 9520. I bought it but I'm not sure I'll install it. I haven't had any electrical issues at all so I hate messing with the wires. : )

wide beam led's are pretty easy to find but I found spots with 1250 lumens at ddmtuning for about $34 a couple years ago and they still work great. I use them at all times.

The yellow is a cover from Cee Bailey's. It's kind of a theme on all my bikes.
