Big Jim... I'll stop by your place in Cripple Creek and buy a hamburger. But thanks for the offer! The Cripple Creek/Victor area is covered extensively in the book... CO 67, Lazy S Ranch, Gold Camp, Shelf Road, Phantom Canyon, Teller, 1, 11, Park County 102, High Park, etc. Ouray at the turn of the 20th century... Pausing above Ouray today at a frequently paused at overlook on the Million Dollar Highway...

I pass through Pine or Pine Grove all the time. Have then/now of Sphinx Park, and the South Platte River Road from Buffalo Creek to Foxton to the confluence, etc. For sure, Goose Creek and the Matukat Road, along with all the preceding are in the book. |

That was enjoyable to say the least. Liked the picture of Victor as I was parked where the white Ford pickup is in your photo. From where you were standing, taking the shot, there was a store on your left where I had lunch after standing under the bridge on the way there during a vicious storm! After lunch I rode Phantom Canyon. Great memories! Thanks! |

I rode my Schwinn through Ouray after riding up Red Mountain pass back in 1987 on the "Ride Across the Rockies" bike ride. It was nice to be hauling butt downhill. |

Steve, yes Buffalo Creek to Foxton Road, or stay on the dirt and wind around, with a nice detour to the left, stopping at a little saloon, and back down, to Deckers. Jim |

Phantom canyon is where Chuck Jones was inspired to draw the Road Runner and Coyote! Love that ride |
