I ordered the stainless steel bar ends from one of our sponsors Knight and there is no mention of specific weights just that they are twice the weight of the aluminum version. I had the HVMP weights on my city-X but thought I would support the sponsors on this site. Anyone using the knight barends for vibration control on their Uly?? Can anyone compare the weight to the HVMP

I don't know the actual weight of the Knights but the SS version is closer to 3X the weight of the AL. Comparing to the HVMP ... I got the largest version (extra heavy weight) and they are quite a bit larger than the Knights. I actually like the design of the Knights better and I think that they look a little ... smoother ... more stock. They have a cut groove to snap in the stock guards as opposed to the HVMPs that have a sliding collar. If I have a chance tonight I'll see if I have a scale at home to weigh both. I don't know which of the HVMPs you had previously but the Knights are quite a bit smaller / lighter than the extra heavy 17.9 oz HVMPs. That being said, I still liked the Knights and I liked the idea of supporting a sponsor as well. Knight has a lot of good products. I have their lowest pegs, front & rear, and also got a custom engraved Pegasus reservoir cover as well. They make good stuff and their customer service is great as well.

... forgot that I also got AL axle sliders from Knight as well. They actually had quite a few shiny things to dress up the Uly.

WOW!!!! Thanks for the review. I did not have the extra heavy HVMP weights but they were still pretty big. I hope that these are heavy enough. My hands feel numb and reverberate when struck on something or if I snap my fingers for about a half hour after a couple of hours on the bike. One thing I would like one of our sponsors to create is a foot peg for passenger that drops the peg two inches BUT ALSO PLACES THE PEG FORWARD AN EXTRA INCH. I know knight and precision has the two inch drop but forward would be good also. My wife would love this. Thanks again
