trying to do the crankcase breather reroute on my 06 uly got the breather baseplate off and on the right side of the throttleboby is a vacum port with nothing on it does this need to be capped i dont see any lines that are unhooked and the bike has been running fine |

i thought it should be capped but i took my 08 xb9 apart and its not capped either so i guess if it aint broke dont fix it |

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be capped. If it's the one I'm thinking about, the little black rubber cap that's installed at the factory is one of the first things to dry rot and fall off. I can't imagine they'd deliberately leave an unfiltered air opening into the throttle body. A dab of RTV would probably seal it fine. |

It is supposed to be capped or connected to your carbon canister if equipped. They often blow off if the bike backfires. |

Sorry for the bad info, I stand corrected and now on my way to the auto shop to find a new cap..... |
