While some of you are just finishing your mods, I am just getting started, thought I would share the fun I'm having.

Cpeg, way to wrangle those wires! You should consider a real horn & re-do the flyscreen ground as those wires will break sooner or later. I like those LEDS too!

LED from ADV Monster.
Horn on list, I hardly ever use the horn, found my finger to be more effective.
What is the flyscreen ground?
I ran my own ground along with 12v to that connector block.

more fun

with the breather ran to the left side behind the foot peg mount, and ran another hose while I was back there to another mod I am installing as soon as the mounting bracket gets back from the powdercoater.

installed the riser.

and 86ed the lollipops

sure hope I don't crash with those mirrors.

Flyscreen ground is the terminal below what look like steering stem pinch bolts. It grounds the lights, horn, turn sigs, & aux. jack and is a common place for breakage. I added a short piece of very flexible wire to take the bending.
Nice switch location, I'll remember that one.

I been looking at that ground point, was wondering if it caused any headaches.
I'll put a fix on it before I bundle it up.
Putting a voltage monitor in the speedo housing now.

Yes, redo that ground point. I used some very flexible #8 insulated copper wire that I found at a marine store. I crimped and soldered a big sturdy ring terminal on one end and "braided" and soldered the instrument grounds to the other.

I used 12 ga. R/C car wire from a hobby shop, like 200 micro strands & silicone jacket. Soldered in a 4" piece to do the flexing.

I built a whole separate ground harness made out of 10 gauge automotive wiring and terminated it at all 4 grounding points.

there's two grounding points underneath the seat near the fuse box, one under the air filter base plate on the top of the motor, and one behind the headlight

Wires!

Now this is spaghetti! Typical under dash wiring for a large police rescue vehicle. There's another 40 or fifty miles of wiring throughout the rest of it! Anyone ever see inside a plane? Makes this look like nothing.
I like the switch mounting location and may have to steal that one day... Is that a spun Moon tank?

Try real spaghetti, each one of the black ones is full of thousands of wires

The inside of the black cases is where those cables are put together.

What happens when a horizontal boring machine goes threw 6 of those cables.

Between the Erik Buell Racing ECM, the breather reroute, K&N filter and the Iridium plugs I am really liking the way the bike runs now. No stumble off the line, smoother running and more torque. The only problem is now when I am riding with my cousins on their other than Buells, I have to ride in the back or I will never see them again.
Now to see if the rumor of better mileage comes true.
Like that automatic edit, type in an E and a BR and it comes up Erik Buell Racing.

I also really like the Palmer brackets. Both the wind screen and cruiser pegs. Lost most of the wind buffeting and noise and haven't started to play with different adjustments. Going to be a great summer of riding.

Finished the bike in time for some great weather, went for a 250 mile ride on 2 lane to Florence by way of Eugene. Dropped down to Reedsport and came back to the valley. Then went for a little putt past the end of the pavement.

Stopped here to drop the bike and roll down the hill.
Got on the bike on the high side, pulled it up, kick the stand up, put my foot down and it slid out in the mud, tried to get the bars turned out, but it came down with the bars tucked under. Helped it go down as easy as I could, then I rolled on down the hill till I caught a tree. Dayum you can't cure dumb. Took some effort to get the bike spun on its side to where I could get under it.

I haven't tried them yet, was going to go out tonight to try them, but I'm a little sore from my wrestling match with the bike and my acrobat routine down the hill.
The russian judge gave me a 7.4.

I noticed the cramp buster on th throttle. I find my wife's hair band elastics work really well as .20 cent throttlemeisters.
