What going on with parts i can not buy a clutch lever .I have on order for sometime.
I order it at American sport bike online . I have read many other bike would fit but not so when i went to buy and ideas what will work at a cost of under $25.00
David,
The previous order had 9060 pads on it instead of the 9059HH pads that you list below, so I updated the sales order to the number below. Let me know if that wasn’t your intent.
HD has STILL not delivered clutch levers, and they are STILL listed on back order. We have orders for them going all the way back to July that they haven’t filled yet. I’ve looked for suitable aftermarket alternatives for plain black cast levers at a reasonable price like the stock ones, but they don’t exist. We have the billet CRG levers in stock (see http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/9002.html ), and a Faux CF wide blade lever (see http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5678.html ), but no simple black levers. Even the HD silver clutch levers http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17161.html are on back order at HD now.
Let us know if we should be making a substitution, or if we should be shipping the grips/pads. Otherwise, we wait….and wait…and wait.
Sorry for the delay,
Al

Seems like this kind of thing is becoming the norm. They will likely be available again at some time. Maybe when enough orders are placed to get the manufacturer to whip up a batch. I don't know.
I think I have one.
I've been collecting various spares in order to avoid stuff such as this.
I would be willing to give it to you if you give me one in return after they become available again.

It's from Frederick HD/B, a BWB sponsor.
But it doesn't list which Buell model it is from.

Another one for an XB, $30 buy it now or make offer.

Both would need to be painted black.

Gixxer levers.
Like 96-04 if my memory is working right. A little hand fitting with a file, and your set. Comes in lots of colors too! $15 or so. Available at your local suzuki dealer.

Djz,
I got your pm. I've rode with a stub for a lever many times. It will improve your grip!
Safe travels to you.

If it is bent then just heat it up until red hot and bend it back to shape. Paint. They will snap off if you don't apply enough heat. I always have just used a propane torch, the same for sweating copper pipes together.

I've got the Parts Unlimited number at home- I'll post when I get off work. It's a direct replacement and you should be able to get it at any dealer that carries Parts Unlimited stuff (metric, indie etc)

Mine was a brake lever... Crap. Part Unlimited # is 44-497, might try taking your lever in and see if a small shop can match it up.
Sorry!

If anyone knows of an inexpensive cast aftermarket clutch lever like the stock one, let me know and I'll stock it. Brake levers aren't a problem.

My backorders on the black Buell clutch lever go all the way back to July. The silver ones went on back order too, but we just got a few of those it last week.

The clutch/brake lever/switch assemblies are Jap made bits and I think are used on other Jap bikes. Its like the locks and frame are from Italy and the wheels are from China.

The levers etc look like Suzuki ones to me. It might be worth looking into.
