Well I had a nasty accident on the old girl on Wednesday. Laid her down avoiding a truck in a busy intersection, appeared to be minor damage but was pretty sure the truck ran over the front forks. HD estimates repair at $6400. Am pretty sure the insurance company will write her off. I suffered a banged up shoulders and ankle, thank goodness for gear. Will miss this bike, and will be keeping my eyes open for another. Have some good memories with this bike, undoubtably one of the best I have had the pleasure of owning. The STT in the garage will help fill the need until I acquire another.

I know how you feel about your Ulysses because I feel the same way about mine but at least your ok and will be able to ride again. Motorcycles can be replaced but Motorcyclist can't!

heal up soon and jump right back on that STT and continue riding!

Just make it a parts bike for your next Uly...we may all need one someday! Glad you are well enough to tell the story.

That sucks! Glad you are OK. Gear is great.

In your honor, I am going to my music archives to play "Another One Bites the Dust".

Interested in one like this?

For Sale is a 2006 Buell Ulysses XB12X adventure sport touring motorcycle. The engine is a 1203 v-twin which is air and oil cooled. The bike has 27500 miles on it and performs flawlessly. I am interested in doing more off road riding so the uly needs to go. Farkles include
Palmer brackets (allows you to adjust the windshield)
Palmer highway bars and pegs
Hepco-Becker hard luggage
Barkbuster handguards
Driving lights
Buell Tank bag (deluxe)
Buell handlebar bag
Buell Triple Tail Pad
Buell black front fender (XB12XT model)
Pirelli MT-60 Corsa tires - app. 2000 miles on them
I recently replaced the brake pads (2000 miles) and wrapped the header pipe. Ulys are known for a hot spot on the right side but this, along with the rider comfort kit, has completely eliminated this problem.
This is a great bike and I hope it finds a great home.
I would also be interested in trading for a klr 650.
Any questions, call 615-631-6295.
Thanks for looking.
