Hey All,

I put the Uly through the ringer today. Instead of the usual ride which seems every time we go out the guy's make me the bait bike, A fellow ride on his SV 1000 did the honors.

What a MAD MAN he was. I was doing some major late braking on entry of the turns to try and keep up with him. I had the rear commnig aroud trying to close and was just hammering the bike through the turns. The SV did not get away till we would hit the straights. Who needs stinkin anti lock brakes anyway? HAhahaaaaaaaa.

The ole Uly did a damn fine job though for most of the ride and I got 35 mpg while playing this hard. It was a blast. Who says a 51 year old, 330 lb fat bastard on a tiny bike can't give a 160 lb. 30 year old kid on an SV 1000 hell? HAhahaaaaaaa.

Bdrag,
I think fat bastard is copyrighted and licensed. You might check your six...

LoL, just messin with ya. I need to make up to your neck of the woods to play. Two "RATHER LARGE" boys tearing it up on Ulys would be a site to see.

It's ok, he's paying me royalties. : D

The Uly is a surprisingly nimble steed and more than capable of surprising many a sport bike.

More than one on the Dragon have heard the roar of the Uly coming by them. The best was a 'Busa waddling through Deal's. All those ponies and unable to lay them down.

The deal gap thing is fun for sure. I have a blast on the LC and the Strom in the past. The Strom 1000 I have suprised my riding bud in Arkansas a few years back. One of our favorite roads is 123 from Mt Juda to hyway 7 going more or less east to west. 17 miles or so of FINE twisties. I was able to pull away from Mike on his connie. He was locking up his anti lock and dragin shit he had never dragged before. It was a great feeling when we finished the section and he said, I COULDN'T KEEP UP BUBBA! One of my lifes highlites. Mike can RIDE! Very competative. To out run him even for a short few miles is a great thing! HAhahaaa.

The down side of that ride was the 4th rider totaled his speed triple and a big road sign. He rode bitch back the 120 miles to the motel on the back of an FJR. The Speed Triple stayed in a front yard against a tree waiting on the junk man.
