No where in my parts manual can I find these wire ties. These are the ones right under the instrument cluster. There are two, holding the wires just above the ignition switch.

TIA,

Dennis

I remember having that same issue a couple years ago...I finally had a dealer find me the right part, but don't know how he found it.

I recently installed the heated grip kit on the new 1125R...and those wire ties were part of that kit too. I can try to find the parts list that came with the heated grip kit when I get home...unless someone else has it handy.

Okay, thanks maximum, I just checked the heated grip kit and it does have one. Part number is 10177. I haven't installed mine yet. Still working on 08 triple clamps.

Why not just use a regular tie-wrap?

I think that would also be an HD # 10081.
there's 2 types, one with a christmas tree, the 10081, and one with a barb, i think it is a 10071.

Go to an electronics store, i.e. Radio Shack etc., they should have wire ties like those. I got a sampler pack from a vendor at work and it had some of these, that's what I used when I did the changing of the trees.

Everything going ok Dennis?

I just got back from Longhorn H-D/Buell with the "Plug in cable straps". The old triple clamps are out and the 08 clamps ready to go in.

Dennis

PS Greg, PM sent.

Thanks OldnotBold for asking the question & posting the photo b/c I also needed to know how to get new cable straps since I must replace those ties when I remove the Police Wiring Harness from my XP.
