A few months ago I posted about the problems my 08 Uly was having. I posted my whining and then reported the successes of the repairs. What I haven’t done since is post about how much fun Uly is to ride. This post is to report that the Uly has been trouble free and is without a doubt the most fun motorcycle I have owned. I hope that you enjoy your Uly as I have rediscovered mine. In addition I have had opportunity to receive free tickets from the nicest Texas DPS officers with the party lights since getting Uly fixed. I am planning a 3 week trip in September when I complete working on this offshore platform project. The BBD community is awesome as I have learned a lot about Uly from the threads. I know I’m keeping the S3t; the Electra Glide-well it’s been collecting dust… Woodreaux | ||

Glad you are having fun. All these "problem" posts sometimes get me down until I am on the bike again and remember how great this bike is. My non-bike owning buddies rag me for not getting a Duc or some other hi-po european machine. But just don't need anymore bike than this. I've owned and ridden many CBR's and just like this bike better. | ||

Yup great bike and terrific to ride, more so and more comfortable than my 01 goldwing. The best thing about this site is that yup people do post about the problems, but at the same time they come up with best ways to solve them or at least work arounds. I have had most of the problems, fortunatly I was not the firt, thus I was able to diagnose and fix the problems on my own and sometimes with the assistance of this site more expeditiously than if I had followed the shop manual. |
