Time to do the preventative maintenance procedure ground repair. Page 7-52 of the Buell Bible isn't much help instructionally for removal of the little black box. It appears to just require the 2 plastic tabs be pried back from the metal ones and pull straight up. Can't see anything else (hidden screws etc) holding it in place. Don't want to be "ham fisted" and do something stupid just before departure on a 2 week adventure. So...anything I'm missing visually to successfully remove the little bugger ? Thanks, j |

You got it....no screws just the tabs. Can be a bit sticky sometimes but be patient and release the plastic tabs and it will slide straight up and off. |

You need to do a hand stand for 5 minutes and try again, it seems to work the second time. |

First' - Thanks for the words of wisdom on patience & verification of no hidden impediments. I have missed a few screws in my life... with predictable results. My wife still thinks I'm missing a few. Frog' - does it have to be a 'free' handstand, or can you cheat and use a wall ? Thanks Guys, j |
