Visited the dealer today and was just looking around. A salesman came over and started talking to me. I asked when they were getting in one of the XTs. He said they had one. Got it in three weeks ago, but it was still in the back for prepping. He thought they might be installing the bags today. Wow, the first XT they get in and it sits in the back for at least three weeks. And this is at a fairly Buell friendly dealer. Just goes to show where Buells rank doesn't it? |

Shows you why you can still buy a brand new 2006 Ulysses at a dealer. They must be making too much money I guess. |

Dynasport - What dealer was that? If you feel like making the trip across the bay, Fletchers in Clearwater had one on their showroom floor a couple of weeks ago when I was there for their demo rides. |

It was Brandon HD. I am not trying to run them down. I think it is just typical of the priority of Buells at the vast majority of HD dealerships. They will sell you one if you come in and ask for it. But they are not interested in promoting them or put too much effort into them. It actually makes sense from a business standpoint. The Buells probably have less of a markup, the buyers buy fewer accessories, many of them do their own service, so the profit is just not there like it is on a Harley, any Harley. I wish Buell had better dealer support, but I just don't see it happening unless something drastic changes it. |

He thought they might be installing the bags today. That's funny. It's my understanding that the bags come from the factory installed - and in fact, Buell designed a special shipping crate to accommodate this. All the dealer has to do for prep is to "install" the windshield and attach the top case. If I'm wrong, someone correct me. If I'm right, someone needs to bitch slap that salesperson. |

Figures it's a dealer issue. They just don't really care about us or our bikes. Brandon's service guys are really good guys. They have gotten to know me really well in the past 3 weeks. See the Court threads for my issues. They cut back the Buell display quite a bit in the past year. Used to be a 9 on it's side in the knee scraper pose, and a bunch of helmets and jackets and such. But since I can't buy it all, they pulled it back. Too bad. Mike |

Dillon Brother's HD/Buell in Omaha seems to appreciate their Buells. They ride them and have about 8 bikes on the floor pretty close to the front door. One is a slower Yellow 08' ULY. And of course they've got the Buell jackets, helmets and T's. I talked to the salesman that sold me my ULY and he said that the 1125R bikes are selling real well especially since it's been such a neverending winter.
