Any Uly owners ridden a TT?

Thoughts about the TT after riding?

Just so we are clear I'm referring to a XB12STT.

...a bike I've never ridden, but one I've never really understood. I always thought it was the dirt oriented brother of the Uly; however I've heard it mentioned several times in the same sentence as the words "Sport Touring" - strange for a bike without bags or a windshield.

I rode one at Homecoming last summer. I did not feel as comfortable on it as the Uly. It is slightly lower (an inch I think), but it feels like the front is lower and the back is jacked up a little. Obviously the mechanical stuff is basically the same, so from that stand point it is very similar. So the bottom line is that it was nice, but just not for me.

Now, not to get off the subject...but...I loved the feel of the Lightning Long (XB12SS). This bike fit me like a glove from the first second I got on (of course it might have been just the color that made me feel that way). I'd love to add one of these to my garage for a cross town commuter!

Find a Buell sponsored Demo Event and try 'em all first hand. It really has more to do with personal preference than anything else.

I love T-T's...

Are speaking of the "rack" variety?

No such thing as a bad TT.

I rode one. It was the TT that first drew me to a Buell dealer, but the Ulysses was setting right beside it - and rest, as they say, is history.
I liked the TT - it's really close to a Ulysses. I went with a Ulysses because the footpegs are lower. Other minor points were: no passenger pegs and no windshield.

Watched the Danger Dave video while interesting it didnt really provide much info IMHO unless I wanted to know if I could hang out with Hookers while riding a TT....

I remember reading a "Anonmous" post stating how the TT suspension is unique to the bike and its really optimized for 1-up city/commute/rough pavement riding. That would be me....

I prob should just put the 07 springs in the forks and play with settings. To see if that improves my front end dive gripe before running off and buying a TT forks and shock. However that would be boring....

I have both bikes and love them both, but for different reasons. The Uly is my choice for long rides, trips and true adventure dual sport riding. If I could only own one motorcycle, this would be it. It's been to Death Valley and Copper Canyon as well as many fire roads here and has 22,500 miles with no issues.
The TT on the other hand is my choice for commuting, track days and general hooliganism- on pavement or gravel roads- it is a truly astounding motorcycle that is the grandson and spiritual heir of the S1 White Lightning. I laugh every time I ride it.

Absolutely love it!

The Buell TT isn't bad either. Probably a good alternative for the shorties who arn't comfortable on an Uly. Rides like any XB (excellent), but other than being lower, I don't see the point to it.

It's faster than the Uly with a little less tendency to wheelie. It's also easier to back into corners.
