I have checked my oil a couple of times after rides and it is down below all of the xxx's on the stick. I have heard not to go above the 3rd row. First is this the right approach, and second does anyone know how much oil it takes per row on the stick? Seems like overfilling is about as bad as underfilling with these bikes.

I check my oil a few minutes after I stop from a least a 10 minute ride. I'm always at about 2.5 x's. I checked once after a couple hours of riding and it was below the x's so I added to the 2.5 mark and got a lot of blow out. I do not know if I am doing it the right way but it is working for me so far. I find the oil was lower after a longer hotter ride. I now wait at least 5 to 10 minutes after a hot ride before I check it.
