I really enjoyed the bike, a lot more than I thought I would. It doesn't have the acceleration my bike does, but it's one shift away. I had it up to 110 mph, steady as a rock. The bike had 8 miles on it, I put about another 8. The wind protection is great, handling superb. There is almost no chicken stripe on the left side now. At 6 ft with a 33" inseam, I still wasn't flat footed. I understand now how easy it would be to dump this bike. The dealership, however, is a whole other story. They offered me $4100 on my trade in (pretty good) and then wanted me to finance another $9100.... for an '06 with bags ... that had rash from being dumped in the store!!!! Have they lost their friggin minds? $13200 for a damaged 2006 model? He said, as I was leaving, he could knock off the $320 shipping. I said we were way off, and left. I think I'm surrounded. I am going to get a Ulysses, but not this one. BTW, I'm trading from an '04 Z1000 ... and I really wanted to ride the Buell home today as the dealer was 60 miles away. Maybe I'll fly to El Paso and buy one of theirs. I've got someone in Dallas working a quote for a new and used one with my trade in, wish me luck. ( and that's 250 miles away)

I have noticed that the Ulysses is disappearing quickly now in Ohio that spring is arriving. With increased demand, comes increased prices. I got my '07 with bags for less than that. But I made the purchase 6 weeks ago.

Johnny Hernandez @ Barnett Hd (El Paso) is a decent guy to work with if you want to get an 06 Uly. He was the only salesperson at the dealership that didn't want to sell me some decked out Hog.

The Dealer in Saskatoon has sold every Buell he can get this year aready> Hard to believe. He had a beautiful red wheeled Lightning in there that was sold. Nice color.

If you buy a Uly you won't be dissapointed. I had my first ride again today. Sh is a beauty.

I suggest that you sell the Kaw on your own. Then go to your bank to get the loan for a Uly. You'll get a better interest rate from a bank. With cash in hand, you can be a bit more picky who you buy from. You could do a Fly, Buy and Ride deal. Buy a new bike from a good dealership that wants your business, then you get to ride the bike home; probably for less than your local dealership wants for a used Uly.
