I am looking for ways to cool my buell. I would like to install a better oil cooler, right side air scoop, and some heat shields under seat and airbox. I would also like to tape up the exhaust headers.

Can you guys recommend manufacturers of the above components and let me know if you are happy with their performance on your bike. Many thanks!!

Actually just thought of something else, how about ceramic coating the headers, does that help out with reducing heat emitting from the headers? Is there a colour thats better than others?

Oly here does the heat shielding.
I have purchased all 4 pieces and it helped a lot.... Seat, Airbox, left, right sides.

Dunno about exhaust headers - others have done this and commented here. Think the ceramic coating is way involved and requires some engine mount maneuvering. Try searching this forum. I currently don't feel the need to go this route.

I am looking for ways to cool my buell.

Why? Is it over heating and going into skip spark mode?

I would like to install a better oil cooler
Again, Why? The oil only runs at 180F. to 190F. with the stock cooler. Oil that is too cool is as bad as oil that is too hot.

, right side air scoop,

A contentious topic, I'm a believer, but hoping for a price break through or Christmas before I'm in. I'm leaning toward the Trojan low profile scoops.

and some heat shields under seat and airbox. I would also like to tape up the exhaust headers.

I have not looked too hard into these "cool mods"; but I did read somewhere that wrapping the head pipes can cause erosion due to the higher internal heat the pipes will see from the wrap.

Can you guys recommend manufacturers of the above components and let me know if you are happy with their performance on your bike. Many thanks!!

Look no further than the sponsors of the BadWeb.

I have the silver ceramic coated headers from American Sport Bike and the right side scoop from Trojan.

I would also add a quality syn like Red Line.

The heat shield sounds like a nice idea.

Good luck.
