Anybody else having problems with the oil cooler lines "weeping"? Also discovered the shifter shaft coming out of the primary has a "weep".

Yes, a quick spritz with some brake cleaner and I'm done.

Yup... mine certainly get misty-eyed. Pointed out to the dealer at my last servicing. They tightened them up but they still weep. I've never noticed dripping from them so I'm not overly concerned that this is a major source of oil loss. The Uly does seem to like to drink oil (well mine anyway). Perhaps I better plan a ride to the Betty Ford clinic...

Yup, I'm running Syn3. Changed to that at ~4000km. Don't recall if it was weeping prior to that.

I'm running Amsoil, and it seems like I'm always putting 4 oz. in every other week. I have over 6000 miles and haven't noticed any weeps yet....

Mobil 1 Vtwin here. Not much of a leak, just some oil on my boot, and it isnt enough to leave a mark after I park.

Did you guys with the oil consumption notes do a factory-recommended break-in?

Just curious.

My Uly has a slight weep at the oil cooler fittings, around the oil filter (multiple oil filters) and where the clutch cable mates the engine case.

These are very small leaks, just enough to leave an oily film. I have never had to add any oil to the engine.

FWIW, for case mating surfaces an RTV product called "The Right Stuff" is darn close to bulletproof. Used in on Toyota differentials and transmissions. I HATE oil leaks and am committed to a clean vehicle - no contamination to water crossings that way.

Sounds like a very minor issue though...

I had a poorly attached oil line (to the oil filter) that was dripping. Replaced under warranty. The oil cooler upper fitting was leaking a little but tightened up fine.
No leaks now.
