Hey guys, just bought a Uly, love it! but when shifting the bike makes a very noticeable "clack!" it shifts just fine, wondering if this is a normal trait or if I need to go see the dealer Thanks, Gary |

Normal. It will get smoother as it breaks in and even better if you get synthetic fluid. |

Mine was exactly the same its still there but getting better with more miles on the box. It's never going to be as quiet or as hot knife through butter smooth as some other bikes on the market though. |

Welcome, The tranny noise is normal and will quiet down some. Enjoy the ride and keep on grinning. |

That is a carefully engineered feature of Buell. It is there so that when the wind noise is howling, your stereo ear-buds are blasting some "Heavy Tunes", your aftermarket exhaust is roaring and your are laughing hysterically with joy, you will know for certain that you made a complete and positive gear shift. Yeeeeeeee Haaaaaaa! |

After riding a BMW R bike for a while, the Buell shifting feels like butter! I do wish that the downshift from 2nd to neutral would loosen up a bit more quickly though... |
