Anyone have the part number for the magnesium front fairing mount? Better yet, does anyone have a digital copy of the parts manual for the 1125R? |

I assume yours is broken. If you have both pieces, it is easily welded. |

I fixed one on my friend's 2009 1125R and it was aluminum. The one on my 2008 is aluminum and my spare is also aluminum. Yes, it was very easy to weld. The method I use is I tack weld on the surface first on one side with no grinding. That way the alignment will be perfect. Then I grind out with a 50% deep v on the opposite side. I then weld that side up. After it cools, I grind out the tacked side with a deep V and finish welding that. Then sand to original shape and my repair had 100% penetration and was was invisible. |

I had heard it was magnesium. I guess that was bad information. Thanks for the heads up and description of the process. |
