Anyone have the rear brake rotor bolt specs handy? They've been moved to "Vintage" and spec'd out for unobtanium composite. |

1999 S3 parts book: 3495Y SCREW, M10 x 25mm, hex socket ctsk. hd. 2002 X1 parts book: 3218Y SCREW, M10-1.5 X 25 hex socket flat hd. Didn't realize that they had 'changed'... So: M10-1.5 x 25 countersunk head, but no mention of grade. It's been so long since I 'screwed around' with screws it seems as though I've lost some knowledge... |

OK, thanks to the wonders of the internet... A1025.5CZ was the Buell part number: A = Metric (AA would be American) 10 = Nominal thread size in mm (American would be in 16ths) 25 = Length in mm (American would be in 8ths, IIRC) 5 = head style, countersunk CZ = Clear Zinc But this resource:

![rotor screws 2](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/810466.jpg) they are Grade 10.9 I never recall seeing the Grade designation on earlier bolts, so maybe just showing the grade designation is the difference? I think I've ![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/beatdeadhorse.gif) |
